Last day of November

Ok! Today is the last day of November. I still haven't heard anything about my company so......I wait....still! I have taken this time, though, to write out some ingredient cards, figure out packaging and started to put some holiday baskets together. I crocheted some bath scrubies and wash cloths to add to my baskets kind of like a freebie. I think they will be nice. I will definitely be selling some at the Health Food Store upstate.

I'm still working on a men's scarf to match the hat that is already on Etsy and then that will also go on there. I was really hoping for sales over Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday but what can you do? I guess I haven't been out there long enough, I'm still learning.

Happy Thanksgiving

Today was Thanksgiving, a Thanksgiving unlike any other. Michael and his mother called family most of the morning. At that time, I found a few moments to print out some ingredient cards for my soaps. It took me a while to figure the layout, font, font size, wording, etc., so I didn't have time do ingredient cards for all my soaps but I think the hard part is over, now I can copy and paste and change the wording for each of the soaps. Today was the first day we lit the wood stove but it was too hot to continue the fire and we let the fire go out. Last year this time we had gone through quite a lot of wood.
We had our 'Thanksgiving Feast', it consisted of souvlakia, cucumber yogurt sauce, pites, meatballs, bbq vegies, sweet potatoes, Stove Top Stuffing and cranberry sauce, kind of a mix of Greek and American. A clash of traditions. After eating to the max, I found some time to make some soap. I made 2 batches, 3 different scents; Peppermint, Karma and Almond Honey. I need to stock up on soap so when and if 'Heavenly Bubbles' is finally official, I will have enough stock for ALL the orders I will receive. Lol. The rest of the night I will relax and try to finish my 'mens hat and scarf set' for my Etsy account. Oh yes, I also have a baby set that I have to post. Don't forget...free shipping through Cyber Monday! Happy Thanksgiving to all. We always have things to be thankful for if we just take a look inside!

I made a sale

Ok, today I got my first official non family sale on my Etsy shop. I was so excited! The customer ordered a hair scrunchie. I was jumping inside with excitement  all morning. I finally got everything togather, I had decided to send a freebee with it. I took down the address and took eveything to the post office because I wasn't sure how I was going to end up sending it. The address was an APO which means it's for the millitary. I thought it was a millitary base here somewhere in the States. I was told that the package would go to this APO address then they sort everything out and send it to wherever the person is stationed. IMAGINE my hair scrunchie on a soldier fighting for our country! I get teary just writing about it. I hope it reaches her safely.

So I still wait

Is it ever going to happen? It seems like it's taking the accountant forever to set up my company! How long do these things take? I have to print out business cards, labels and packaging, make more soap. So many things to do but I don't want to start printing until I'm possitive I can use 'Heavenly Bubbles' as a name. So here I sit, waiting and waiting.

My first blog

I remember not too long ago someone told me I had to get a computer. I didn't want to because it was something new and unknown. But our oldest daughter needed it for school and we needed it for work so I agreed. After buying the computer I sat in front of it just looking at it...not liking it. After a couple of years I was told I had to get the internet and that it was needed. I was against it again but they insisted. Here I am a few years (I won't tell how many) later, now, starting my own blog! Who would have thought! I spend much time on the internet researching, talking with people, just finding out as much as I possibly can about anything. Since we entered the internet world, I have been thankful for it more than one time. When we were looking for a house, when I was looking for information on goats (we have a goat farm), when I needed information on how to make cheese from goats milk, when my mother became ill until she passed on, when I needed to find out how to make goat milk soap and most of all when my husband was diagnosed with a rare form of lymphoma called cutaneous T-cell lymphoma. I don't know where we would be without the internet and all the information that comes out of it.
So now here I am, starting a blog, to share all my everyday experiences with all who visits me.
